The Russian Flag Day was celebrated in Dhaka with a cultural programme attended by journalists, Russian government scholarship recipients, Russian language students and other guests.
The programme began with the Russian national anthem, followed by a presentation on the history and significance of the Russian flag and its development as a national symbol.
The event was celebrated at the Russian House in Dhaka on Sunday.
Students of the Russian Language Course took part in the programme by reciting Russian-language poems dedicated to the national flag, including “Flag of Russia”, “Russian Flag” and “About the Colour of the Flag”.
The cultural programme also featured performances of popular Russian songs, including “Shirokaya strana moya rodnaya”, “Katyusha”, “Kalinka” and “Matushka”, by students and other participants.
The programme highlighted cultural exchanges and interest in Russian language and culture among Bangladeshi students and participants.
