The authorities of Rajshahi University on Monday have decided not to join the integrated admission test of public universities which is expected to begin from the academic session of 2020-21. The decision was taken at a meeting of academic council, said RU pro vice chancellor professor Ananda Kumar Saha.

RU academic council’s most of members opposed joining the system of unified admission test and that’s why they aren’t joining it. They aren’t opposing the University Grants Commission (UGC) initiative, but they will take their entry test as they did in previous years, said professor Saha.

Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, Dhaka University, Chittagong University isn’t also joining the integrated admission test. On February 12, the University Grants Commission (UGC) decided to take uniform entry test after discussion with 12 public universities’ vice chancellors but it has not been effective instantly.
