The Rajshahi University authorities on Sunday appointed Professor Dulal Chandra Biswas as the new director of Institute of Education and Research.
Universiy Public Relations Office Administrator Prof Pradip Kumar Panday confirmed this through a press release on Sunday afternoon.
The teachers, officers, employees of the Institute of Education and Research and the teachers of the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism were present there while taking charge.
Professor Dr. Dulal Chandra Biswas joined the University as a lecturer in the department of Mass Communication and Journalism in 1994. He was promoted to Assistant Professor in the same department in 1997 and Associate Professor in 2009 and Professor in 2018.
Before that, he served as the chairman of the department from 2003 to 2006. Later, he served as the Director General of Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB) from 2010 to 2013.
Prof Biswas also served as Rajshahi University Senate Member and the president of Rajshahi University Teachers Association.
