Demonstration marches and road meetings have been organized by Rowmari and Upazila Awami League of Kurigram to protest the terror anarchy of BNP, Jamaat.
The protest rally was held around 10 am on Saturday. Under the leadership of State Minister for Primary and Mass Education and President Zakir Hossain, a procession of more than 500 Awami League leaders and activists from various organizations came out from the party office and circled the main road of the city and met at the Shapla junction of the upazila.
Newly elected president of Upazila Awami League, State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Zakir Hossain MP, general secretary and head teacher Abu Horaira, Zilla Parishad member Harunor Rashid Harun, UP chairman Nazrul Islam and Nurul Amin Pramuk addressed the road meeting.
On the other hand, in Rajibpur Upazila, a procession led by Birmuktijoddha Abdul Hai Commander, including more than 200 Awami League leaders and workers, left the party office and met at Thana Junction after circling the main main road of the market.
Awami League's newly elected president and freedom fighter Abdul Hai Sarkar, general secretary Humayun Kabir Chakku, head teacher Azim Uddin Master, Sirajudaula and Chattar Jihadi spoke in it.
