Manohardi, Narsingdi – The role of Upazila Nirbahi Officers (UNOs) is pivotal in implementing government directives at the grassroots level and fostering citizen-friendly administration. The residents of Manohardi are proud to have M A Muhaimin Al Zihan as their UNO, whose one-year tenure has already brought significant changes across the upazila.
A 35th BCS Administration Cadre officer, Zihan is widely recognized for his dedication, integrity, and approachable demeanor. Since taking charge in 2024, he has transformed the overall administrative landscape of Manohardi. People from all walks of life—including farmers, laborers, students, and local leaders—regularly visit his office to seek assistance, confident of receiving attentive support.
Zihan’s initiatives include halting illegal sand extraction, recovering government land, curbing encroachments, ensuring law and order, and overseeing administrative operations and development projects at the field level. He frequently visits villages across the upazila to listen to residents’ concerns and provide practical solutions.
Beyond administrative duties, Zihan actively engages with students to encourage their education and regularly promotes public health awareness. His transparency, diligence, and hands-on approach have earned him respect among citizens and officials alike.
Speaking about his service philosophy, Zihan said, “I believe work defines identity. Since my student days, I dreamed of standing by people. Joining the BCS Administration has given me the opportunity to turn that dream into reality. Even if I leave this upazila one day, I hope my dedication leaves a lasting impact in people’s hearts.”
He also stressed his firm stance against corruption, pledging uninterrupted service to ensure that citizens seeking assistance are never harassed. He highlighted the importance of collaboration with elected representatives, journalists, freedom fighters, students, and civil society in achieving these goals.
Under his leadership, Manohardi is witnessing the rise of a service-oriented, citizen-friendly administration, setting a benchmark for future governance in Bangladesh.
