A daring dacoity was occurred in the house of an army person Md Jalal Uddin Farhad, at Barpara village in Cumilla Sadar Dakkhin Upazila on Thursday late night. He has been living with his family near Amena Begum High School in the area.
On that night, a gang of seven to eight armed dacoits came in a microbus and broke open the main door of the house of Farhad. At that time, family members were shouting and Farhad was able to capture one of the robbers. But the robbers injured Farhad in their bid to free the captured robber’ The robbers fled the scene with the booty after some time. Farhad was admitted to Cumilla Medical College Hospital with severe injuries.
A case has been filed with local police station accusing seven to eight unknown persons.
