Speakers at the human chain demanded implementation of Road Transport Act 2018 and called upon everyone to stay conscious while using of roads and highways.
The demand came at a human chain organized by the Rajshahi unit of Nirapad Sarak Chai (NSC) organised at the zero point of the city’s Shaheb Bazaar on Thursday with the slogan, 'Mujib Borsher Sapath, Sarak Korbo Nirapad'.
Pesided over by Adv. Toufique Ahsan Titu and conducted by Waliur Rahman Babu, President and the General Secretary of NSC respectively, the human chain was attended and addressed, among others, by GS of NSC Sultan Mahmud Sumon, Advisor of NSC Freedom Fighter Dr. Abdul Mannan, Director of Poribartan Nasrin Akher Meeta, Rajshahi Press Club President Saidur Rahman, Convener of Bangabandhur Bangladesh Chai Aslam Ud Dowla, General Secretary of Rajshahi Raskha Sangram Parishad Jamat Khan, Chairman of Save the Nature and Life Mijanur Rahman, General Secretary of Babosayee Samannoy Parishad Sekander Ali, Labour leader Masuduzzman Kajol, Tamim Shiraji, Abdur Rahim, Dr. Roknuzzman Ripon, Rajab Ali, Hasanuzzman and Shamiul Alim Shaon.
Meanwhile, after evening, the 27th Death Anniversary of Jahanara Kanchon was observed at the office of NSC where President of NSC Adv. Toufique Ahsan Titu presided over.
