Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) has launched motorbike rehearsals aimed at generating awareness among the public in general about combating various social crimes, including juvenile offense and adulteration in foods, as wells keeping law and order controlled.
Elaborating the aspects of the rehearsal, RMP Commissioner Biplab Bijoy Talukder said 12 sub-inspectors of police and 12 constables from six police stations led by one Inspector (Inspection) on 12 motorbikes are conducting the rehearsal programme everyday.
The programme is being conducted in the main city streets and amusement installations in Rajshahi. Besides, school and college students are being aware so that they can be debarred from going out of their respective campuses in uniform.
Commissioner Biplab Talukder said the guardians and parents were also requested to take care of their kids properly.
Surroundings of the educational institutions together with the growing age juveniles and other trackless youths have been brought under surveillance to check eve teasing.
They are also conducting mass-awareness programmes in the food shops at the amusement places to stop adulteration.
The Commissioner also sought all-out cooperations of the citizens to make the awareness programme a total success saying anyone can give suggestions, advice or and complain to him directly instead of any media.
