RMG worker found dead in Savar

Police recovered a half decomposed body in packed condition of a woman RMG worker in Savar, on the outskirts of the capital on Saturday. Shariful Islam, husband of the deceased on the run, said police. The deceased was identified as Shahina Khatun, 25, hailed from Chardasipur village under Doulotpur police station of Kustia district. She used to work at a readymade garment factory and lived at Tayabour area of Ashulia.

Jahangir Alam, owner of the house said, the woman along with her husband named Shariful took rent a room into the house (Workers colony) on last March 01. Later, the other residence of the house found a bad smell from their room and informed police on Saturday morning. Fazar Ali, Sub-inspector of Ashulia police station said, "On information, we rushed to the spot and recovered the half decomposed and packed body from a locked room. Also, the husband of the deceased named Shariful on the run since the incident."

"The body was sent to Sahid Suhrawardi medical college hospital morgue for autopsy and a case was filed with Ashulia police station in this regard", SI added.
