Rly admin to works to boost passenger facilities

A day-long training workshop has been organized to enhance the professional skills of railway catering and on-board service providers.

The workshop was held at Chittagong Railway Station on Monday with emphasis on ensuring passenger service.

On-board and catering service personnel were given hands-on training on first aid, manners and firefighting at the event.

At that time, the trainers said, the railway administration is in the field to ensure the convenience of the passengers.  The responsible officials of the railways are working harder to change the quality of service of ordinary passengers than in the past.

Chief Guest and Chief Commercial Officer (CCM) of Eastern Railway Nazmul Islam said that it was necessary to ensure maximum service to a passenger.

 Delivery of tickets to specific coaches and seats, unloading of luggage, ensuring the needs and safety of passengers inside the moving train, quality food as per demand.

Special guests at the workshop were Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Abul Kalam Chowdhury, Additional Chief Commercial Manager (East) Jobeda Akter, Chittagong Divisional Commercial Officer (DCO) Md. Ansar Ali.  Deputy CCM (East) Iti Dhar, Chittagong Divisional Mechanical Engineer Sajid Hasan Nirjhar, President of Service Providers Owners Association Mohammad Shah Alam, General Secretary Shahidul Islam.
