The match concluded by the afternoon, and following the victory celebrations, Rishad Hossain caught the 8:30 pm flight back to Dhaka from Chattogram. Despite the typical fatigue expected after a day's match in Chattogram's warmth followed by travel, Rishad seemed invigorated. His post-landing interview radiated the thrill of securing the ODI series against Sri Lanka with his assertive batting. The sense of redemption was palpable.

Rishad's six-hitting spree nearly sealed the T20 series for Bangladesh, but they fell short by 28 runs. However, seizing the opportunity in the ODI series finale on Monday, Rishad made sure victory didn't elude them. Claiming one wicket and then storming to an undefeated 48 off 18 balls, he was instrumental in the team's triumph. In his interview, Rishad expressed his elation over the series win against Sri Lanka and elaborated on his leg-spin technique and prowess in six-hitting.

In response to inquiries about his rapid 48 runs off 18 balls, he remarked, “No, there wasn't a specific plan. Their sledging prompted me to go on the offensive a bit (laughs).”

Rest assured, I'm perpetually primed for six-hitting. My approach is simple: keep an eye on the ball and strike whenever possible. That's my strategy. Nonetheless, I prioritize the team's needs. Whether it's hitting big or taking singles, I adapt as required.”

Discussing about his leg-spin abilities and chances in the national team, he added, “The quest for improvement is never-ending.

There's always room to grow. I'm honing my match temperament, learning to navigate various match situations—deciding when to curb runs or claim wickets. Opportunities have been ample. Every team aspires to victory.

We must excel in every chance we get because without strong performance, opportunities will dwindle.”
