Rifat Beg creates history

Left handed opening batter Rifat Beg achieved a historic milestone in the ongoing Sheikh Kamal U-18 National Cricket Competition by scoring a triple century. This remarkable feat marks the first instance of a triple hundred in this prestigious tournament. 

The left handy was unbeaten on 320 runs off 483 balls for BKSP against Dhaka Metro in the first semifinal at Shaheed A. H. M. Kamaruzzaman Stadium, Rajhahi on Sunday. 

BKSP made a mammoth total 549 from 158.3 overs. Opener Rifat Beg was unbeaten 320 runs of 483 balls with 29 fours and four sixes. 

Fahim Muntasir laid a solid partnership with a 136 –run in opening partnership. Fahim contributed 57 runs off 122 balls with 10 boundaries. 

Dhaka Metro’s pacer Abu Suffian Shawon took five wickets for 123 runs.  Batting first Dhaka Metro were bundled out only 143 runs in the first innings. Middle order battercum wicketkeeper Tawaf Mashrafe contributed 48 runs off 119 balls with four boundaries and one six. 

Skipper of BKSP Tafir Arafat claimed four wickets for 19 runs. Farhan Shahriar bagged three wickets conceding 23 runs.  

Dhaka Metro trail by 406 runs in the first innings. 

Skipper of Dhaka Metro Kalam Siddiki Aleen sides 111 runs without loss any wicket from 31 over. 

Opener Parves scored 31 off 86 balls with four fours. Rahin 71 runs came just 100 balls. Dhaka Metro still behind 295 runs.
