Md Zakir Hossain, Additional Chief Engineer of Roads and Highways Department (RHD), paid homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing wreath at his grave at Tungipara in Gopalganj on Thursday.
Md Zikrul Hasan, convener of the committee made by Roads and Highways Department in order to celebrate “Mujib Barsha-2019” marking 100th birth anniversary of Bangabandhu, was also present at that time.
After paying homage, Zakir Hossain along with others offered special prayers and Fatiha wishing for the salvation of the departed souls of Bangabandhu and his family members. They also prayed for Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s longevity there.
Among others, Superintendent Engineers of Roads and Highways Department, Md. Amanullah, Md. Abul Kalam Azad and Md. Jahangir Alam were present at that time. The committee has planned elaborate activities for celebrating “Mujib Year-2019”.
