Review meeting on LGED projects in Khulna held

A daylong workshop and implementation progress review meeting on projects and programmes under implementation in Khulna Division in FY 2020-2021 under Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) were held at Jashore on Thursday. 

LGED Chief Engineer Abdur Rashid Khan inaugurated the programmes as chief guest which held at Kamrul Islam Siddique Auditorium of Jashore LGED in accordance with the proper hygiene rules. Chief Engineer Abdur Rashid Khan in his speech, called upon all to work together sincerely to realize the dream of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to build a Sonar Bangladesh. 

Khulna Divisional additional Chief Engineer of LGED Mokhlesur Rahman delivered the inaugural address while Jashore Regional Superintendent Engineer Abdul Basheed gave welcome speech. Executive Engineer of Jashore LGED Mirza Iftekhar Ali conducted the day-long programmes.

During the day-long review meeting, project-wise progress of various projects, identification and solution of problems in the implementation of the scheme and guidance on what to do in the implementation of the project work in a timely manner. 

LGED Rural Infrastructure Development and Management additional Chief Engineer Md. Mosle Uddin, Integrated Water Resources Management Additional Chief Engineer Md. Ali Akhtar, Urban Management Unit  Additional Chief Engineer ANM Enayet Ullah, Additional Chief Engineer, Climate Sustainable Infrastructure Institutionalization Project Additional Chief Engineer and Director of AKM Lutfar Rahman, LGED's Additional Chief Engineer Mojibur Rahman Sikder, Khulna Regional Superintendent Engineer Ratan Kumar Dey, Kushtia Regional Superintendent Engineer Prakash Chandra Biswas, Narail LGED  Executive Engineer Md. Sujayet Hossain including 10 district executives, senior assistants, upazila engineers and assistants were present in the workshop . 

At the same time, a sapling has been planted at LGED premises in Jashore as part of the tree planting programme in Mujib Barsha. The inaugural plaque of Jashore LGED premises has been unveiled in the time.
