A retired government official was found dead at his residence at Zillapara in Magura town on Friday. The deceased was identified as Daad Elahi, 70, a retired official of Customs department, police said. Following information from locals, police recovered Elahi's decomposed body from his room after breaking upon its door. Locals said, unmarried Daad Elahi used to live alone at his house in Zillapara. However, after getting bad-smell from inside the house, locals informed the matter to police. ASP in Magura Mohammad Tarikul Islam said the septuagenarian government official may died of old-age complications".
