Reshuffle in BPC: 7 top-level officials transferred

A major reshuffle has been carried out at Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC), with seven officials transferred simultaneously in key positions.

The decision was announced on Thursday through an office order signed by BPC Secretary Shahina Sultana, citing administrative interests.

According to the order, the Managing Director of LP Gas Limited, Md. Yusuf Hossain Bhuiyan has been appointed as the Managing Director of Jamuna Oil Company Limited. In his place, the current Managing Director of Jamuna Oil, Engineer Md. Amir Masud has been assigned to lead LP Gas Limited.

Senior General Manager (Audit) of BPC, Md. Abul Kalam Azad has been posted as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Standard Asiatic Oil Company Limited.

Additionally, General Manager (Commercial & Operations) Muhammad Morshed Hossain Azad has been transferred to the position of General Manager (Finance).

Meanwhile, CEO of Standard Asiatic Oil Company Limited, Ferdousi Masum Himel has been assigned as General Manager (Distribution & Marketing) at BPC.

General Manager attached to the Chairman’s office, Mohammad Zahid Hossain has been transferred as General Manager (Commercial & Operations).

General Manager (Finance) Md. Jahangir Kabir has been reassigned as General Manager (Audit).

The office order states that all concerned officials must join their new postings by April 16. Failure to join within the stipulated time will be considered as immediate release from their current positions.

The reshuffle has been carried out to bring greater dynamism to administrative activities, the order added.
