The Marxist party formed a human chain at Maijdi in Noakhali on Wednesday demanding reopening of closed jute mills, one-year salary-fee of students to be borne and cancellation of corona examination fee.

Police obstructed the program. Later, the party formed human chain again in front of Noakhali Press Club.

The party's district convener Dalilur Rahman Dulal, district Krishak Front president Tarkeshwar Debnath Nantu, BSD district committee member Kazi Zahir Uddin and many others spoke.

The speakers said that the unelected government is afraid of even a small movement. While the governments all over the world are providing free corona examination and treatment, the government has charged fees for coronary examination in Bangladesh. And medical irregularities are corrupt. The speakers demanded that all medical treatment including corona examination should be made free, all closed jute mills should be started, layoffs should be stopped and one year salary-fee of students of all educational institutions should be borne by the government.
