Solaiman Hoque Joarder Selun, MP of Chuadanga-1 constituency on Firday inaugurated the construction and renovation works of Chuadanga Railway Station at a cost of Tk. 10 crore.
A modern station building, car parking shed, platform will be built at the station at a cost of Tk. 10,18,40,690.
A discussion meeting was held on the occasion on the compound of Railway Station with Dr. Kissinjer Chakma, DC, in the chair. Ausim Kumar Talukdar, General Manager of Rajshahi West Zone of Bangladesh Railway, Ashadul Hoque, Chief Engineer of the West Zone of Bangladesh Railway, Jahangir Alam Malik, Mayor of Chuadanga Municipality, Mahfuzur Rahman Monju, Chairman of Zela Parishad, Reajul Islam, Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration) and Reajul Islam Joarder Toton, Former Joint Secretary of District Awamileague spoke as special guests. Solaiman Joque Joarder Selun, MP, was present as chief guest at the program.
Chief Guest Selun said, at present railway communication and facilities have been developed in Bangladesh under the guidance of Awami Lleague Government. Railway communication system was not sound before 15 years.
Chuadanga Railway Station is going to be modernized, so services of passengers will increase. Passengers will feel comfortable in travelling of Train through the station, he added.
