Maheshkhali Municipality authorities have distributed disinfectants including masks, sanitizers and soap among the Rakhine community in Maheshkhali of Cox's Bazar. In South Rakhine Para of Maheshkhali Municipality, Municipal Mayor Alhaj Makshud Mia distributed disinfectants including masks, sanitizers and soaps.
Mayor Makshud Mia urged everyone to abide by the health rules. He came up with the assertion while distributing these items among the men and women of the Rakhine community. Local councilor Aung Rakhine was present in Mongla at the time.
The items were distributed on Tuesday morning among more than 300 Rakhine men and women. Meanwhile, the mayor of the municipality Alhaj Makshud Mia said that in order to ensure that everyone abides by the instructions of the government, the people of Maheshkhali municipal area are kept in social distance and awareness is created by holding yard meetings. At the same time, food aid is being delivered from the mayor's personal fund to the poor families.
