Many local people joined the human chain programme  with the slogan 'Coastal Areas at Climate Risk, We Want Sustainable Development'.

NSS Executive Director Shahabuddin Panna presided over the human chain programme, while Tourist Police Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) of Kuakata Zone Abdul Khaleque, President of Kuakata Press Club Nasir Uddin Biplob, General Secretary Kazi Saeed, Former General Secretary Anwar Hossain Anu, Program Director of NSS Md. Shahidul Islam, journalists Zakir Hossain and Khairul Bashar Bulbul spoke on the occasion, among others.

The speakers demanded proper supervision from the authorities concerned to protect the coastal area from climate change risk.

At the end the programme, about 1000 faceasks were distributed on behalf of the NSS among the tourists to prevent the epidemic of Corona in Kuakata beach.
