The Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) has set up 20 sample collection booths in different hospitals all over the country, including the capital Dhaka.
This is as part of its series of coronavirus prevention and control activities, it said in a statement on Thursday.
Samples will be collected regularly in 10 districts - Dhaka, Sirajganj, Natore, Noakhali, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Manikganj, Kishoreganj, Khagrachhari, and Rangamati and in the booths set up at the Holy Family Red Crescent Medical College Hospital premises.
BDRCS Vice-Chairman Prof Md. Habibe Millat MP inaugurated the activities of the newly set up booths on Wednesday from his constituency Siranganj.
He inaugurated the booth at the 250-bed Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib General Hospital in Sirajganj.
