Reconstructed Kamlapur PTI now attracts visitors

Kamlapur Primary Training Institute (PTI), Chuadanga has been changed into beauty as trainee teachers have done gardening and cleanliness regularly.

Moreover the present government completed construction and repairing works of the institute at a cost of tk. 2 crore and 45 lakh recently. 

All buildings of the institute were repaired and painted. Road around the campus, a mosque and boundary walls were constructed. These were completed at a cost of tk. 2 crore 45 lakh by the present government.

According to sources, the PTI is situated at village Kamlapur in Alamdanga upazila of the district in 1953 on 29 bighas of land. On inception, it was called Guru Training. However, at present its name is Primary Training Institute.

A total of 160 primary school teachers have been taking training at the PTI for 1 year and 6 months. The course of the institutes is Diploma in Primary Education (DPED). One year is theory and rest 6 months is practical teaching class at their own schools.

Superintendent, Instructors of the PTI allot plots among the trainees for gardening and cultivating of different types of seasonal vegetables.  All trainees and staffers keep the campus neat and clean.

The PTI has been turned into a good looking and beauty. Many people and students of different educational institutes are coming to visit on the campus.

Solaiman Hoque Joarder Selun, MP of Chuadanga-1 constituency said once upon a time Kamlapur was a remote village. Pacca road and electricity were not at the village. At present a high way (road) from Chuadanga to Kushtia via Kamlapur has been constructed by the present government. All facilities like electricity, land phone have got the village. For this PTI also has developed now. Now nobody says Kamlapur is a village, it is now like a town.

Mollah Shahiduzzaman told the Bangladesh Post, trainees, Instructors and staffs cooperate for changing into beauty and attractive of PTI.
