An exchange meeting was held in Mymensingh district civic movement on the initiative of the Saleha Begum Language Soldier Recognition Board to demand recognition of the late Saleha Begum Bahasa Sainik, who was expelled for hoisting a black flag in a class 10 student of Muslim Girls School in Mymensingh in 1952. At the meeting, it was decided to launch a constitutional movement for the recognition of language soldiers.

It was chaired by Bir Muktiyodba Engineer Nurul Amin Kalam, convener of Saleha Begum Bahasa Sainik Recognition Board and general secretary of Mymensingh district civic movement and chaired by member secretary poet Swadhin Chowdhury.
