On the occasion of the Independence and National Day, a reception was given to the heroic freedom fighters at the residence of the Deputy Commissioner on March 26 by the Rajbari District Administration.
The reception was addressed by Md Zillul Hakim, Member of Parliament for Rajbari-2 constituency as the chief guest and former Minister of State for Education (Technical and Madrasa Education Department) and Alhaj Kazi Keramat Ali, Member of Parliament for Rajbari-1 constituency as the special guest of honor. Chairman of the district council Fakir Abdul Jabbar, Superintendent of Police MM Shakiluzzaman, former commander of Sadar Upazila Muktijoddha Sangsad Bir Muktijoddha Abdul Jalil addressed the function as special guests under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Md Abu Kaiser Khan. Among others, Mohsin Uddin Batu, Commander of the Wartime Militia, and Abul Hossain, former Commander of the District Freedom Fighters' Parliament, spoke on the occasion.
The wartime commanders of the district, heroic freedom fighters, family members of martyred freedom fighters, and additional deputy commissioners of district administration, Sadar upazila executive officer, assistant commissioner (land), assistant commissioners, other officers and employees were present.
