Fatulla police in a raid on Thursday night arrested a young man in charge of violating a sixteen years old readymade garment female worker from Chotlar Mathh area.
The arrested identified as Mojnu, 22, son of Dulal Mia, resident of Manikda village under Melandah police station in Jamalpur district and now was resident as a tenant at Lalu Mia’s house at Masdair area under Fatulla police station.
According to the case history, Mojnu and the rape victim girl were worked in a print factory and there happened familiarity between them. Very often Mojnu approached illicit proposals to the girl but she as usually refused him.
On Wednesday night, after leaving the factory at around 10 PM the girl alone was bound to her
resident.
On the way home the girl was forcibly picked up by Mojnu from the Ketabnogor area and abused the girl. Victim’s mother filed a rape case with Fatulla police station accusing lone Mojnu that is investigated by sub-inspector Arif Pathan.
Inspector (Investigation) Toriqul Islam of Fatulla model police station said that the arrestee apparently admitted his involvement with rape incident. The victim was sent to Narayanganj General Hospital for physically exam to diagnose the rape symptom.
