Filmmaker Rohit Shetty on Friday posted the teaser of his upcoming film Cirkus. Taking to Instagram, Rohit shared the motion poster as he introduced fans to the quirky characters in the film. The teaser features colourful cars, carts, and masks in the background.

The teaser of Cirkus began with Ranveer Singh, who plays a double role for the first time in his career. While the first Ranveer has sleek hair and looks, the other one has ruffled hair with a distraught look. Pooja Hegde drapes a yellow saree with matching jewellery and gives a surprised expression.

Jacqueline Fernandez sports a retro look as she wears a blue outfit and partially ties her hair back with a band on her head. She winks and smiles in the motion poster. Varun Sharma, who also essays a double role, has different looks in the teaser. All the other cast members also have quirky expressions and colourful outfits in the teaser.

Sharing the post, Rohit captioned it, "Before the trailer drops next week, meet our CIRKUS family!!!" Reacting to it, a fan said, "Blockbuster already." Another person wrote, "Waiting to watch this in the theatre, finally something good is coming, excited for this movie." "Waiting for such comedy entertainers that can be watched with family," read a comment. "Finally the wait is going to end," commented an Instagram user.

The shoot of the film was completed last week and Ranveer announced the family entertainer's filming wrap on his Instagram page. “Shooting khatam, Promotion ki planning shuru! (Shoot over, planning for promotions begin) Mass-ter filmmaker ke Mass-ter plans! Buahahahaha! #RohitShetty @varunsharma90 #CirkusThisChristmas,” he wrote alongside a picture of him with Rohit and Varun from the sets.

Cirkus also stars Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Vrajesh Hirjee and Siddhartha Jadhav. It is produced by Rohit Shetty Picturez and presented by T-Series. Cirkus is set to hit theatres on December 23 this year.

It is based on William Shakespeare's classic play The Comedy of Errors, which revolves around two sets of identical twins, who were accidentally separated at birth.
