In the second round of Bangabandhu 22nd National Cricket League (NCL), Rangpur Division won by 7 wickets against Khulna Division in the first Tier’s second match. ArifulHaque's team reached the port of victory after losing 3 wickets, chasing 117 runs. As a result of this victory, they are in the second place of first Tier’s point list.
Rangpur started the day with 16 runs without wickets on the fourth day. They lost the wicket of opening batsman Nabin Islam before adding any runs. Another opening batsman ZahidJaved scored 37 runs. Abdul Halim returned both of them.
TanvirHaider, who scored 10 runs, was dismissed by Rabiul Islam Robi. SuhrawadiShuvo and Nasir Hossain left the field after winning the match. Nasir was unbeaten for 48 runs and Shuvo with 16 runs.
Meanwhile,the 22nd edition of the Bangabandhu National Cricket League (NCL) has been postponed after just two rounds due to the severe Corona situation in Bangladesh. There will be no NCL matches until the situation improves.
After completing the second round on Thursday, the announcement of the postponement arrived. Ali Hossain, manager of the Dhaka division and member secretary of the Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis (CCDM), confirmed the suspension of the NCL.
"Yes, the BCB has been forced to suspend the national league for the time being due to Corona. The tournament is being postponed until further notice. If it starts again, it will start from here” Ali said.
