Rangamati’s measles patients get treatment

Measles disease spread among the children at remote villages of Sealdaha area under Sajek union in Rangamati. A total eight children by being attacked with Measles died at the area. 

In this backdrop, a medical team comprised of military and civil doctors arrived at three remote hill-tract regions of Sealdaha area and treated Measles infected patients by staying there from March 24 to 28, says press release issued by ISPR. 

According to the ISPR press release, the medical team treated a total of 202 patients including 171 children, mostly belonged to Tripura Community, and rendered them humanitarian assistance.

Moreover, on March 25, under special management, a helicopter of the Bangladesh Army carried five Pneumonia affected children from the area to Chittagong Medical College Hospital for treatment. Those children are now completely free from the risk. Bangladesh Army has established a rare example of cooperation by rendering medical services to remote areas of Rangamati, said Mohammad Reaz-ul Karim Shammee, Assistant Director of ISPR.
