The Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk) on Thursday transferred its 121 employees of 11 posts through lottery in a bid to ensure transparency amid hectic lobbying for transfers.

Rajuk officials claimed that the process of transfers through lottery would improve public service of the city development authority and discourage persuasions for favoured postings.

The posts include Kanungo, building inspector, accountant, records officer, designer, office staff member, supervisor, data entry operator, junior account assistant, office assistant cum computer operator and record keeper.

Rajuk chairman Anisur Rahman Mia told New Age that they had conducted the transfer process through lottery to ensure transparency and enhance public services in the coming days.

‘We have transferred 130 newly appointed staffs on August 7, 2023 and 32 new surveyors on February 7, 2024 with the same lottery process,’ he added.

Rajuk member for finance and admin Mohammed Khurshid Alam, member for estate Mohammad Nurul Islam, member for development Shamsuddin Ahmed Chowdhury and member for development control Mohammad Abdul Ahad, among others, were present.
