Four players of Rajshahi among seven won gold medals in favour of Bangladesh in two-day long Indo-Bangla Open International Taekwondo Championship-2022 held at PL Roy Indoor Stadium at Sealdah in Kolkata of West Bengal, India on Saturday.
According to sources, seven players of the Rajshahi district Taekwondo Association participated in the competition from Bangladesh.
Among them Ridwan Islam Ahan, Jannatul Ferdousi Jarin, Shamiul Hasan Arnab and Afrin Mostafa won the gold medals. In addition, Abdur Rahim and Hasanur Rahman won the Silver and the Bronze medals respectively.
Saklain Jony, Naimur Rahman Naim and Momin Khan Parash attended the competition as Team Coaches.
AHM Khairuzzaman Liton, Mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation in a message congratulated the winning Taekwondo team players of Rajshahi.
