Rain is likely to return in three divisions after a two-day interval, said the Meteorological Department.

The department on Wednesday in a forecast for the next 24 hours said that although it rained two days ago, three parts of the country may experience rain again. The rain is expected to continue for the next three days.

Wednesday was the 10th day of the Bengali month of Falgun. As the temperature is steadily rising, the intensity of winter is decreasing. Although a bit cold is felt at night, the daytime temperature in the capital is increasing slowly every day.

The sky in Dhaka had been cloudy since morning. As the day progressed, the sun peeked out from behind the clouds.

On Wednesday morning, the lowest temperature in the country was 10.5 degrees Celsius in Tentulia. The temperature in Dhaka rose from 16.6 to 17.4 degrees Celsius.

Six mm of rainfall was recorded in Jashore from 8 am on Tuesday to 8 am on Wednesday.

The forecast further said that the weather across the country may remain dry with partly cloudy skies for the next 24 hours from 9 am on Wednesday to Thursday. However, there is a possibility of rain or thunderstorm in Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions. Light to moderate fog may occur at places over the country during late night to morning.

The night and day temperatures may rise slightly across the country during this time and the trend of rain may continue for the next three days.
