Feni Railway Police Outpost has arrested 3 snatchers from train roof of a Chattogram-bound train in Cumilla area.
They were apprehended from Feni railway station on Friday night. At that time, the police recovered the snatched items from them. These snatchers will be sent to court, police stated.
The arrested have been identified as Shakil Hossain, Rabiul Islam Robi and Sujan Mia.
It is learned that Maruf Hasan, Mohammad Farhad, Mohammad Fahad and Ariful Islam got on the roof of the mail train from Cumilla to Chattogram. All of them are residents of Sobarampur village of Burichang police station in Comilla. The accused snatched mobile phones from them while the train was crossing the Sharshadi railway area. During this time, they were also beaten. Later, hearing thear cry, railway police came forward and nabbed the accused snatchers.
. Feni Railway Police Outpost in-charge (ASI) Abdul Alim said the bodies of the hijackers were searched and two steel switch gear knives, four mobile phones and money were seized.
A case has been filed with Laksam Railway Police Station.
