Bangladesh Railways Chittagong Divisional Transport Officer Md. Omar Faruq has been transferred and posted as Deputy Director of Akhaura-Laksam Dual Gauge Project.
This information was given in a press release signed by the Deputy Director of Railways Shah Alam recently.
Railways Eastern Divisional Manager Sadequr Rahman said the Divisional Transport Officer has been transferred from the Railways Building in an order. Mohashish Das Gupta has been given the responsibility in his place.
Omar Faruq took over as Divisional Transport Officer earlier this year. After he took charge, the closed station was reopened and steps were taken to prevent train accidents.
