The biennial election of Jhenidah Press club was held at club’s own office. M Raihan of Daily Janakantha and Mahmud Hasan Tipu of Daily Samakal were reelected president and general secretary respectively for 2020-2021.
Other office bearers are- vice president Foysal Ahmed of SA TV and Daily Banik Barta, joint secretary Khurshid Mohammad Saleh of Amar Sangbad, office secretary Jahurul Islam Hero of Bijoy TV, publicity secretary Shamimul Islam of Daily Tribunal, sports secretary Kazi Ali Ahmed Liku of Asian Age, literacy and library secretary Pintu Lal Datta of BTV, cultural secretary Mehedi Hasan Sabuj of Channel Nine and information technology secretary Shahnoor Alam of Daily Bhorer Pata.
Executive members of the new committee are- Delwar Kabir, Roving Correspondent of Bangladesh Post, Sazzad Ahmed of Daily Nabachetona, Shiplu Zaman of RTV, Asif Iqbal Makhan of Banglavision, Rokanuzzaman Milon of Bhorer Kagoj, MA Jalil of Amader Kantha and Sultan Al Ekram of Amader Orthonitee.
Ex principal of Jhenidah Degree College Tobarok Hossain conducted the election as the election commissioner, while advocates Subhash Biswas and Abdul Mannan (Junior) assisted him with utmost sincerity.
