Rahmatganj hammers Arambagh

After two successive draws Rahmatganj MFS completed the first phase in the Bangladesh Premier league (BPL) with win over Arambagh Krira Sangha at the Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna on Friday.  

The Old Dhaka outfit Rahmatganj hammered relegated Arambagh KS by 4-1 and cash full three points into their bag. It is their third win in the BPL first phase. 

The outcome helped Rahmatganj move to eight place with 13 points from 12 outings, while Arambagh KS placed in last position in the 13-team points table, secured only one point from the same number of outings, lost 11 matches. 

The first half ended in 1-1 draw.  In the second half, the Old Dhaka outfit became more aggressive and got the result. Attacking forward Mehebub Hasan Nayan scored the double for Rahmatganj MFS in 53 minutes. This striker became hero again in 76 minutes. 

He scored his second and teams third goal. Rahmatganj’s Tajikistan defender Khurshed Beknazarov sealed the teams fourth goal and completed the task.
