Rahmat Ali buried in Gazipur

Freedom Fighter Advocate Md Rahmat Ali, former MP from Gazipur-3 constituency and a state minister, was buried at his family graveyard at Sreepur in Gazipur on Tuesday after holding the last namaz-e-janaza.  Thousands of people, including the Awami League leaders and activists, joined the namaz-e-janaza at  the evening at Sreepur Rahmat Ali Government College.

Advocate Md Rahmat Ali, also an advisory council member of the ruling party,  died on Sunday morning at the age 74 when he was undergoing treatment at Square Hospitals in Dhaka. He was a six times MP from Gazipur-3 constituency.

His first namaz-e-janaza was held at Shankar Jame Mosque in Dhanmondi after Zuhr prayers on Sunday, while another at the south plaza of Jatiya Sangsad after Asr prayers, and then at Baitul Mamur Jame Mosque in Science Laboratory. The fourth namaz-e-janaza was held at Bangladesh Supreme Court ground on Monday.
