Rapid Action Battalion arrested two members of a fake certificate making syndicate from city’s outskirts Ashulia on Monday night.
Talking to the Bangladesh Post, Additional Deputy Inspector General Md Mozammel Haque, who is also the commanding officer of RAB- confirmed it on Tuesday.
He said, “ Getting secret information, a team of RAB-4 led by Additional SP Jamir Uddin Ahmed, company commander of the Special Crime Prevention Company of RAB-4, raided at the Moushomi Phone and Computer Training Center at Ashulia area around 5:30 pm.”
They were primarily identified as Md Robiul Alam,42 and Md Bellal Hossain,22, both hailing from Gaibandha district.
The elite force also seized huge amount of fake certificate of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka and computer devices, other equipment, which were being used for making fake certificates, said Adl SP Jamir.
During the primary interrogation, the arrested criminals admitted that they were involved in making, circulating and distributing these fake certificates for long times.
They had earned huge amount of money by selling such fake certificates among the job seekers, he added.
A case was filed with Ashulia Police Station in this connection.
Adl Jamir said, “ We shall continue our drives to arrest all others involved in the nexus.”
