Members of Crime Prevention Company-3 of RAB-4 detained 4 gamblers in a raid in Doleshowri Kachamaer area in Manikganj Sadar upazila on Friday afternoon.
They also recovered 2 sets playing cards, 4 Mobile sets and 150 and Tk 6,760 from the spot.
The arrestees are – Ibrahim Khalil, 46, son of late Mohammad Ali of village Uchutia, i Sadar upazila, Md. Abdul Malek, 48, son of Md. Chan mia of village Charkhonda Golora in Saturia upazila of Manikganj district, Abdul Khalque, 49, son of Mohammod Badol of village Vorai, Sahabudddin,50, son of Afzal Ali of Konagati in Sirajganj district.
Senior ASP and Company Commander in Crime prevention Company 3 of RAB-4, Unu Mong said acting on a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a drive at 3.05 pm on Friday at Doleshowri Kachamaler area in Sada rupazila of Manikganj district and caught 4 gamblers red handed while they were gambling.
During the preliminary interrogation, the detainees admitted that they were professional gamblers and involved in various criminal activities, RAB sources said.
