Ant-crime elite force Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Saturday arrested a Satkhira based death-row fugitive war criminal, from city’s suburb Savar.
He was identified as Khan Rokanuzzaman, 72, son of late Mahabbat Ali Khan of sadar upazila of Satkhira district.
Senior ASP of RAB-2 Shihab Karim confirmed it.
Earlier on March 24 last year, the notorious war criminal was sentenced to death by the International Crimes Tribunal-1 (ICT-1). Getting secret information, a team of RAB-2 conducted a raid in Savar on Saturday afternoon and arrested Rokanuzzaman.
According to RAB, earlier the ICT-1 issued a warrant against him Rokanuzzaman after handing down the verdict.
He was produced before the court after primary interrogation, the RAB official said.
