RAB-7 has arrested two persons from Anwara area of Chattogram city along with 51,625 pieces of yaba worth Tk 1.55 crore brought from Myanmar by speed boat.
RAB-7 Senior Assistant Director Md. Nurul Abshar gave this information on Saturday.
The detainees are: Md. Zafar (65), son of late Habibur Rahman of North Paruapara of Anwara Police Station, and Md. Abdul Karim (33), son of late Saleh Ahmed of the same area. RAB-7 Senior Assistant Director Md. Nurul Abshar said a speed boat with a large consignment of Yaba was coming from Myanmar by sea with Anwara area.

The two were arrested in a raid on Friday morning on the basis of secret information. Later, 51,625 pieces of Yaba were seized.
He said there had been a cycle of collecting Yaba from Myanmar for a long time. Yaba tablets have been sold to wholesalers and retailers in Anwar's Gohira area by sea.
The estimated value of the recovered Yaba is 1 crore 55 lakh Tk. He said that they have been sent to Anwara police station to take legal action against the detainees.
