RAB-7 has arrested two persons with foreign weapons and ammunition from Terial area of Sitakunda police station.
They were detained in front of the Bariadhala Haqqani Refueling Station on Friday afternoon.
The two arrestees are Mohammad Ismail and Mohammad Saidul Islam of Sitakunda Upazila. After searching, one foreign
revolver and 40 rounds of ammunition were recovered.
RAB-7 Assistant Director (Media) Nurul Abshar said that RAB on the basis of secret information found out that some people were sta ying in Sitakunda for the purpose of sabotage. Sensing the presence of the RAB, they tried to run away.
He further said that during the interrogation of the accused, it was learned that they have been carrying out various terrorist activities including selling and buying illegal weapons for a long time. Their weapons and ammunition were handed over to Sitakunda police station.
