We are deeply worried over the incidents of question paper leaks in the government job recruitment process.

Such criminal offence is very “unfortunate” for a nation as the question paper leaks destroy the hopes and future of brilliant and qualified job seekers. Forty-six people were detained on Friday in Rangpur, Nilphamari, Kurigram, Thakurgaon, Lalmonirhat, and Dinajpur for their alleged involvement in leaking question paper of primary teacher recruitment test.

They leaked, supplied, and forged question papers in the primary teacher recruitment examination. They had a plan to leak the question papers in exchange for a large sum of money before the primary teacher recruitment exam held on Friday across the country, including Rangpur, according to media reports.

The question paper leak continued to take place at many government jobs recruitment test alongside other public examinations. Although the law enforcers detained many people in connection with the question leaks in government job recruitment tests and other public examinations, the big fishes always remain untouched.

qualified job seekers

As a result, the qualified and talented youths having higher educational qualifications from different prestigious universities are failing to get job while a section of unskilled and dishonest people are getting employed in exchange of huge amount of bribe money. When these unskilled and dishonest people will be employed in government jobs, they will also be involved in corruption, misappropriation of money and misuse of power instead of providing services to people.

Alongside special security cell, the government must develop some innovative systems including introduction of lottery to choose question sets and special security envelope so that the question papers are not leaked. All the stakeholders must root out all possible sources of question paper leakage as a vested quarter is involved in the malpractices since long.

The authorities concerned will have to recruit honest, tested, trusted, skilled and qualified citizens for printing of the question papers. Leakage of question paper is the sign of a society falling sick and the moral degradation of people.
