Mukti Joddha Moncha demands exemplary punishment of BNP General Secretary Mirza Fakrul Islam Alamgir and Former Rajshahi Mayor Mizanur Rahman Minu for humiliating Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina by staging a protest in front of Raju memorial sculpture of Dhaka University (DU) campus on Tuesday.

Later, the activists and leaders of the Moncha have burnt the effigies of BNP leaders.

MuktiJoddhaMoncha President Aminul Islam Bulbul, DU unit president Sanet Mahmud, central organising secretary Obaidul Islam were present there while the Moncha secretary Al Mamun conducted the protest.

Al Mamun mentioned that addressing Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in a BNP divisional rally in Rajshahi on March 2 Mizanur Rahman Minu said, “Tonight, tomorrow morning may not happen. Don’t you remember 75?.’ At that rally, Minu also taunted the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.”

“Recently, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir distorted the history of the 7th March speech,” Al Mamun added.

The protesters claimed, “Mirza Fakrul Islam Alamgir and Mizanur Rahman Minu must be arrested within the next 72 hours for their anti-state remarks and violation of the Constitution.”

Otherwise, the Mukti Joddha Moncha will announce a tougher program, they added.
