Publication ceremony of the book ‘For The Roots’ was held at the office Vice Chancellor of Premier University in Chattogram recently. Dr Ashish Kumar Chowdhury wrote the research book, published by General Health Care for Rural Students.
Prof Dr Anupam Sen, Vice- Canceller of the university spoke at the event.
In his speech, Prof Dr Anupam Sen said health care at the doorstep is a traditional procedure of providing treatment to the patients. However, the quality of treatment differs in rural and urban areas. In the urban area the people are financially solvent and avail the best health care facilities by specialized physicians. The picture is different for the rural poor people. They are mostly poor, and cannot afford the treatment of the specialist in the town. About the book, the VC said that ‘For The Roots’ contains useful clinical information regarding health care to the underprivileged people. He said, “We congratulate the author of the book, Dr Ashish Kumar Chowdhury, for remarkable contribution in the improvement health of the rural people and also for writing an excellent review research book.
We hope the book will find thousands of reader who will feel pleasure to see the best humanitarian service by the doctors.”
