A public library was inaugurated in Pabna in memory of Ekushey Padak-winning Language Movement hero and freedom fighter Aminul Islam Badshah on Saturday noon.
The public library, built with the funding of Sadar Upazila Parishad in Pabna's Hemayetpur, was jointly inaugurated by Golam Farooq Prince, MP and freedom fighter Rabiul Islam Robi.
Pabna Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Joynal Abedin presided over the inaugural function. Joint Secretary of the Cabinet Division Sabirul Islam, Sadar Upazila Chairman Mosharraf Hossain, Pabna Press Club President ABM Fazlur Rahman and others spoke at the time.
Speakers said the library will play an important role in spreading the light of knowledge among the next generation.
