Protest against abusive comment about Prophet Muhammad

Leaders and activists of Mirsarai Upazila branch of Bangladesh Ahl-e-Sunnat Wal Jamaat have protested against the insulting remarks made by two leaders of BJP, the ruling party of India, about the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SM).

Leaders and activists of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat on Friday (June 10) protested at a human chain in front of Mir Saheb's shrine in Mirsarai Municipality on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway at 10am and demanded exemplary punishment for the two BJP leaders through an international court.

They said that no Muslim can accept harsh words about the Prophet. The Prophet is our role model. His ideals are in our blood. So no insult will be accepted in the name of the Prophet in the presence of a drop of blood. Meanwhile, the two leaders of the BJP government in India strongly criticized and condemned the leaders and activists demanded their exemplary punishment through the International Court of Justice. Ahle Sunnat wal Jamaat had about 100 leaders and activists in the human chain.

Former Acting General Secretary Abdul Mannan, former President of Islami Chhatra Sena Mejbaul Islam and current General Secretary Taslimuddin Rashed spoke on the occasion under the chairmanship of Maulana Jasim Uddin.
