Promise for a child marriage free Bangladesh marking the Mujib Year

Secretary of the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs Kazi Rowshan Akhter said that we promise for a child marriage free Bangladesh marking the Mujib Year. 

She made this remarks as a chief guest at a program of the end of a three month long training session based on ‘Women Entrepreneurship’ organized by the District Administration and District Womens affairs  at the conference room of Faridpur Deputy Commissioner's office on Sunday noon.

“Now-a-days women are contributing to the various fields in the society and we are working to encourage them, She said adding that the women will have to be established themselves in a rightful place applying their trained knowledge. By using their knowledge, they can establish their rights in the society. They have to say ‘No’ to the child marriage”.

Deputy Commissioner of Faridpur District Atul Sarker presided over the meeting while Director General of Women Affairs Parveen Akhter, Director of Agenda maintenance Farida Khanam addressed there.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Roxana Rahman was present at the meeting. Mashuda Hossain, Deputy Director of the Department of Women's Affairs, Faridpur district delivered her welcome speech. Later, the chief guest inaugurated a 10-day long package training on the production of multipurpose jute products. Later, The participants were given certificates for 3 months training.
