Construction work of 50 roads and drain project in Jhalokathi municipal area was inaugurated on Friday.
MP from Jhalokati-2 constituency Amir Hossain Amu, who is also member of Awami League Advisory Council and coordinator and spokesperson of Awami League-led 14 party alliance, inaugurated the project through videoconferencing in the morning.
Mayor of Jhalokathi municipality Liaquat Ali Talukder presided over the inauguration ceremony of the project while, while Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md. Johar Ali, Superintendent of Police (SP) Fatiha Yasmin, District Awami League President Sardar Md. Shah Alam, General Secretary Advocate Khan Saifullah Panir and others were present at the event.
Speaking as the chief guest, Amir Hossain Amu said, “Great development work has been done in Jhalokathi municipal area in the last 10 years after Awami League came to power.
This trend of development will continue in the future as well.”
The Awami League leader called upon the concerned to maintain the quality of work of the project.
