The nation observed the 16th anniversary of the worst grenade attack in the history of the nation on Friday. On the occasion, Bangabandhu Fans Club Faridpur district Unit held an hour-long mourning human chain programme in front of Faridpur press club in memory of those killed and injured in the grenade attack on an Awami League rally on august 21, 2004.
Former BCL leader Shamim Talukder, Convener of Bangabandhu Fans Club Faridpur district unit, addressed the human chain programme. Mosharraf Hossain Musa, Education, Research and Library Secretary of City Juba League unit, Sifat Ibne Huda, Member of the Convening Committee of City Juba League unit and others were present in the human chain programme.
Speakers at the human chain demanded immediate execution of the convicts in the August 21 grenade attack case. Later, prayers were offered for the souls of those killed in the grenade attack on August 21.
