Procession brought out in Cox’s Bazar marking Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi

Holy Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, the birthday of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) was celebrated in the tourist city of Cox's Bazar with religious solemnity and various arrangements on Friday. 

At 9 am, Municipal Mayor Mujibur Rahman led a huge holy procession from the corner of Nuniarchhara Road in the city at 

the initiative of Ahl Sunnat 

Wal Jamaat. 

The rally encircled the main roads of the city. About 30,000 religious followers of the Prophet (PBUH) spontaneously took part in it. 

Gaichia Committee President Alhaj Omar Sultan, General Secretary Shafiqur Rahman, Tayyabiya Taheria Sunnia Madrasa Principal Maulana Shahadat Hossain Al Qaderi, Sirajul Haque and others were also present.

At the time, cartoons mocking the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) displayed in France and the French President's anti-Islamic remarks were strongly condemned.
